Gill “the Drill” Montie Documentary

Few artists have had such a pivotal role in the merging of two worlds as Gill Montie has between tattooing and Hollywood. Famous and infamous at the same time, Gill Montie is known by absolutely everybody in the modern tattoo industry, and a vast majority of Hollywood stars who owe their roots of fame to the 1990s. From creating the iconic full-length sleeve on George Clooney in Robert Rodriguez's "Dusk Till Dawn," to being a co-founder of the Ink Slinger's Ball, which touted guest judges like Johnny Depp and Gene Simmons, Gill Montie was at the center of and partially responsible for the merger of tattoo culture into mainstream entertainment. 

From tattooing the rock stars of the era backstage to being in our living rooms on the Roseanne Barr show, to doing the last tattoo on Tupac before he passed away, the halls of lore and legend are filled with his name.
